Sui Foundation Revolutionizes Web3 Onboarding with zkLogin Integration

Blockchain at layer one by removing the need for customers to maintain an external crypto wallet or seed phrase, Sui Network has taken a step toward streamlining Web3 onboarding.

The Sui Foundation announced the launch of a new zkLogin (Zero Knowledge Login) function on September 13, enabling users to sign into decentralized applications (DApps) using their Google, Facebook, and Twitch login credentials.

Users may sign in in the same way they always have on other parts of the internet, saving them from having to deal with annoying Web3 wallets.

“By enabling users to access dApps with the social logins they have grown comfortable using, zkLogin removes a major hurdle for bringing the benefits of blockchain-based applications to billions of mainstream users,” stated Sui Foundation Managing Director Greg Siourounis.

Users, both new and seasoned, have long complained about a variety of usability problems throughout the onboarding process, such as the requirement to sign transactions, maintain seed phrases, and submit lengthy strings of nonsensical information to access some DApps.

“Too many individuals—whose everyday lives would benefit from blockchain technologies—are irretrievably lost at our doorstep, frustrated at installing Web3 wallets and managing seed phrases.”

According to the Sui Foundation, the zkLogin functionality enables users to take advantage of the ownership and privacy-preserving aspects of blockchain-based services without compromising security.

Zero-knowledge proof technology enables one party to demonstrate the veracity of a claim without disclosing any information other than the fact that the claim is accurate.

The Sui Foundation hasn’t been the only organization to remove obstacles to broader Web3 use, though.

In an effort to decrease the use barrier for what is frequently seen as a difficult aspect of the crypto markets, cryptocurrency exchange DYOR said on August 28 that it was creating a social media-like app for users to participate in the decentralized finance (DeFi) market.

Similar to this, a brand-new Web3 gaming startup by the name of Moxy has been making an effort to entice players into the Web3 universe by utilizing a slightly different strategy for blockchain gaming. Moxy has developed a competition-based esports system where users may wager against one another and earn cryptocurrencies as an alternative to play-to-earn economics.

The emergence of Telegram trading bots like Unibot and BananaGun, which enable traders to snipe new tokens and seek airdrops from within the Telegram program, has contributed to yet another significant change in onboarding.
