Ripple Locks 800 Million XRP in Escrow to Stabilize Supply and Demand
In a noteworthy development in the cryptocurrency sphere, Ripple, a frontrunner in fintech, has implemented a strategic move impacting the XRP market. The company recently reinstated a significant 800 million XRP into its escrow.

This move followed Ripple’s customary procedure of releasing 1 billion XRP from escrow at the beginning of December. As per Investing.com, Ripple’s final escrow deadline is April 2027, and until then, the company continues its monthly XRP release.

The noteworthy aspect lies in the magnitude and strategy behind the re-escrow: three distinct transactions resulted in the relocking of 800 million XRP into escrow, constituting 80% of the total amount released.

This leaves Ripple with 200 million XRP at its disposal, an amount valued at approximately $100 million, poised to enter the market. This strategic move could potentially have a significant impact on XRP’s short-term price, keeping investors vigilant.
