OpenAI Unleashes ChatGPT Team with 32K Context Window and Custom GPTs

In a bold move to expand its offerings, OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Team, a subscription service positioned between the individual-focused ChatGPT Plus and the enterprise-oriented ChatGPT Enterprise. The new “self-serve” plan aims to cater to teams seeking advanced capabilities beyond individual usage.

The standout features of ChatGPT Team include a substantial 32,000 context window and the revolutionary ability to craft custom GPTs, facilitating seamless collaboration among team members. This strategic enhancement goes beyond the offerings of ChatGPT Plus, providing a more robust platform for group interactions and collaborative AI endeavours.

Among the additional features bundled with ChatGPT Team is access to an array of tools, including DALL·E 3, GPT-4 with Vision, browsing capabilities, advanced data analysis tools, and an admin console for streamlined workspace and team management.

OpenAI emphasizes that the ChatGPT Team adheres to “business-grade data privacy & security.” In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the company clarified its stance on user data, stating, “We do not train on your business data or conversations, and our models don’t learn from your usage.” This commitment to privacy and security is underscored in an accompanying blog post.

The launch of the ChatGPT Team comes amidst a series of significant developments for OpenAI, including multiple product launches and notable leadership changes. The company has also faced legal challenges, with lawsuits alleging the unauthorized training of models on copyrighted material.

One recent addition to OpenAI’s ecosystem is the “GPT Store,” a groundbreaking marketplace allowing users to monetize custom GPTs they create. Custom GPTs serve as user-defined prompts, acting as guiding parameters for ChatGPT’s behaviour or persona. This innovation eliminates the need to repeatedly specify preferences in each conversation, providing users with a more streamlined and efficient experience.

The GPT Store, eagerly anticipated by the AI community, opens up endless possibilities for customization. The move reflects OpenAI’s commitment to fostering a dynamic AI ecosystem and empowering users to shape their interactions with AI models.

With the ChatGPT Team and the GPT Store, OpenAI continues to push the boundaries of AI accessibility, offering teams enhanced capabilities and providing users with a platform to unleash their creativity and innovation in the realm of artificial intelligence.
