Some crypto trading experts have stated Bitcoin price surge predictions up to $110K. They remain optimistic about Bitcoin’s future, despite recent fluctuations in price. MN Capital’s founder, Michael van de Poppe stated on July 17, “The next leg is likely to bring Bitcoin to $110K.”
This optimistic prediction comes amidst discussions about Bitcoin’s price pattern and its growth potential.
Concerns Over “Lower Highs and Lower Lows”
But, other analysts don’t see this optimism. Peter Brandt, a veteran trader called out a troublesome trend on July 17, stating:
“It should be noted that the sequence of lower highs and lower lows continues despite the halving, despite the ETF, despite the hype.”

This observation highlights the asset’s struggle to surpass previous price peaks.
Mining Challenges and Price Volatility
Van de Poppe attributes recent price volatility to challenges faced by Bitcoin miners.
He noted:
“The true hashrate drawdown at its last low on July 1st was as HEAVY as during the FTX collapse,” suggesting that operational costs and reduced mining rewards following the April halving have impacted Bitcoin’s price.
Recent Price Performance
Bitcoin reached an all-time high of $73,679 on March 13, but it has since struggled to hold that price. Nine days in succession in July saw Bitcoin fall below $60,000, a trend that hasn’t happened since February.
On July 5, the asset fell to $54,274, a four-month low, as reported by CoinMarketCap.

Diverse Bitcoin Price Surge Predictions by Experts
Analysts offer varying predictions for Bitcoin’s future:
- Pierre Rochard, Riot Platforms vice president of research, believes Bitcoin “could go to $100,000 over the next 12 months.”
- More cautious, cryptocurrency trader Marco Johanning says that Bitcoin won’t hit $100,000 “at least not this time,” with a target price of $81,000 to $94,000.
Regarding Bitcoin’s short to medium-price trajectory, the crypto trading world is divided on several points of view, which is reflected in these varied projections.
